How to identify the quality of insulated cups

Table of Contents

1. Safe Material

316L has characteristics such as corrosion resistance and acidity, while inferior and substandard stainless steel does not have them. You can use magnets to attract the cup lid, body, and bottom. If the magnetism is strong, it is not real stainless steel.

2. Product identification

Check if there are SUS304/SUS316 markings on the outer packaging and inner liner. If not, do not purchase as it may be made of industrial grade 201 stainless steel

3. Thermal insulation performance

(1) It can be checked by hand feeling after being filled with water.

(2) A non insulated cup will heat up at the bottom of the cup after being filled with hot water for two minutes, while the bottom of an insulated cup remains cool.

4. Health and Environmental Protection

Plastic parts have a small odor, smooth surface, no burrs, and smooth welding at the mouth, while non environmentally friendly materials have the opposite.

5. Experimental evidence

Drop lemon juice onto the surface of the stainless steel product, wait for 10 minutes, and then dry the lemon juice. If there are obvious cracks left, it indicates that the quality of the stainless steel product is poor and it is prone to corrosion.
