1. Plastic category
(1) PP (polypropylene): It has good heat resistance, can withstand high temperatures above 100 ℃, is not easily deformed, has strong chemical stability, is non-toxic and odorless, harmless to the human body, and is relatively affordable. It is widely used in various types of insulated cup lids.
(2) PC (polycarbonate): high transparency, beautiful appearance, high mechanical strength, and good impact resistance. But PC materials may release bisphenol A at high temperatures, posing certain health risks, so they are gradually being replaced by safer materials.
2. Silicone materials
Soft and elastic, with excellent sealing performance, it can effectively prevent water leakage. It has excellent high and low temperature resistance. It can maintain stable performance in the temperature range of -40 ℃ to 230 ℃. It is non-toxic and tasteless, safe and environmentally friendly. It also has good aging resistance and corrosion resistance, and has a long service life.
3. Metals
(1) Stainless steel: Generally, 304 or 316 stainless steel is used, which is sturdy, durable, corrosion-resistant, and has a good texture. It can match the main material of the thermos cup and improve the overall quality. However, the cost is relatively high and the weight is slightly larger than plastic and silicone cup lids.
(2) Aluminum alloy: Lightweight in texture, easy to carry, with good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. After surface treatment, it can present a variety of beautiful colors and textures, but its hardness is relatively low compared to stainless steel, making it prone to scratches.
4. Ceramics
Has good chemical stability, does not undergo chemical reactions with beverages, and can maintain the original flavor of beverages. Exquisite in appearance, capable of producing various unique shapes and colors, giving people a sense of luxury and elegance. However, ceramic materials are fragile and require caution during use and carrying.
